We are delighted to launch a brand new networking opportunity focused on one of the most powerful foundations of early childhood development: relationships.
For this very first session, we are honoured to be joined by Dr Suzanne Zeedyk and Dr Jools Page, two leading voices whose work has shaped our understanding of relational practice in the early years. Their insights will help us set the scene for this ongoing network and inspire meaningful discussion.
About the Session
This introductory event will explore:
✨ What do high-quality relationships look like in the early years?
We will consider the principles that underpin emotionally rich, attuned, and responsive practice—and what practitioners need in order to sustain these relationships within today’s busy settings.
🧠 Intersubjectivity in Practice
Drawing on the work of Colwyn Trevarthen, we will reflect on the concept of intersubjectivity—how children and adults create shared meaning, joy, and understanding. We’ll explore how these ideas translate into everyday practice, along with the challenges settings may face.
🤝 Shared Experiences and Collective Problem-Solving
Participants will be invited to discuss their current relational strengths and struggles. This network aims to create a nurturing, collaborative community where practitioners can learn with and from one another.
