We are delighted to be working in partnership with the National Institute of Teaching (NIOT) to deliver the National Professional Qualification in Early Years Leadership (NPQEYL) and the National Professional Qualification for SENCOs (NPQ SENCO) for the Autumn 2026 cohort.
Applications are now open. To apply, please complete your application through the National Institute of Teaching and select Pen Green as your Associate College. National Professional Qualification in Early Years Leadership (NPQEYL)
Develop your expertise as an early years leader and strengthen your ability to lead high-quality provision, support staff development and improve outcomes for young children. The NPQEYL is designed for leaders working across the early years sector, including nursery managers, leaders of school-based nurseries, childminders with leadership responsibilities and other early years professionals looking to develop their leadership practice.

National Professional Qualification for SENCOs (NPQ SENCO)
The NPQ SENCO supports current and aspiring Special Educational Needs Coordinators to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to lead effective SEND provision. The programme focuses on creating inclusive environments, improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND, and strengthening strategic leadership across settings and schools.
