Supporting the Foundations for Early Writing

Join us for a reflective and practice-focused professional development day exploring the foundations of early writing in the Early Years.

This event will consider how writing begins long before children pick up a pencil — rooted in relationships, communication, movement, play and meaningful interaction. Together, we will explore how high-quality interactions, emotionally attuned relationships and motivating learning experiences support children to become confident communicators and writers from the very beginning.

Across the day, we will reflect on:

This event is designed for early years practitioners, leaders, teachers and those working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage who are passionate about developing meaningful, relational approaches to early literacy.
