Join us to discover the brand new Early Years Teacher Degree Apprenticeship (EYTDA), delivered by Pen Green Research, Development and Training Base in partnership with the University of Greenwich.
Starting in January 2027, this innovative apprenticeship offers the opportunity to achieve a BA (Hons) Early Years with Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) while remaining in employment. The programme combines academic study with workplace learning, supporting practitioners to develop as confident, knowledgeable leaders of early years practice.

Who is this information session for?
This session is suitable for:
- Early years practitioners currently working in nurseries, pre-schools or other eligible early years settings who want to progress towards becoming an Early Years Teacher.
- Practitioners with a Level 3 qualification who are interested in progressing to degree level, subject to meeting the programme’s entry requirements.
- Practitioners with a relevant Level 5 qualification, who may be eligible to enter directly into Year 2 from 2027.
- Nursery managers, setting leaders and employers interested in supporting staff development and finding out more about apprenticeship funding.
The programme is designed for practitioners who wish to continue working while studying towards a BA (Hons) Early Years and Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS).
