Introducing and deepening your knowledge of schemas’ includes examples of the commonly observed schemas; explanations of terms such as assimilation, accommodation and equilibration; a description of the ways schemas are explored as children develop and learn from their explorations; and, demonstrates how schemas co-ordinate to form complex concepts such as ‘counting’ and ’time’.
