All year round there are lots of families who experience hard times, and these can be even more difficult to bear at Christmas.
Winter is a particularly expensive time of year anyway, with extra heating and food bills, and the cost of living just keeps going up.
Christmas is an added expense that many low income families just cannot afford and It often comes down to a choice between Christmas presents and food, and that is an upsetting reality for so many families.
How You Can Help
We are running a reverse advent calendar appeal throughout November, We are asking for donations over a 25 day period so that we can gift these items and make up the hampers to distribute to families through December. Items can be dropped off at Pen Green Reception. Please note that donations need to be dry goods as we don’t have any fresh food storage.
If you want to give back to someone in need this holiday season a reverse advent calendar is a really easy way to do it.
