Corby Christmas Angels!
We have been overwhelmed this year by the generosity of those in our local community.
During November we ran a reverse advent calendar appeal within the centre asking for small daily donations. It was amazing to see the generosity of all the staff and families who donated and the number of hampers we were able to make was quite overwhelming to see. We would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to each and every one of you as this would not have been possible without you. It has been such a success and I hope it brings as much joy to families this Christmas.
Utility Bidder very kindly gifted the donations from their reverse advent calendar collection – thank you!
After an appeal for Christmas trees, we were able to buy some with cash donations from the Corby Masons and Taste inc – thank you so much.
Staff from Lakeside Corby came in last week with hampers made up to go out to families within our community.
Staff from Welland Vale Co-Op donated trollies full of goodies and household goods to go towards hampers for families.
The residents and staff of Swan Gardens generously donated a huge pile of wrapped Christmas presents for children of all ages. We were able to give some of these to families at our community Christmas lunch and with hampers to families in the community.
Tresham Manor House Restaurant hosted their annual Charity Christmas dinner, and we were honoured to be nominated as their chosen charity. Proceeds from this will enable us to support families in the new year.
Cash donations were gratefully received from Lee McLaughlan and Toni McGregor – thank you both so much.
Ken Bennet very generously donated a family Christmas meal voucher for a family to enjoy a meal out and gifts for children.
Thwaites funded the Community Christmas lunch and also filled our Pen Green Pantry which helps families with store cupboard essentials.
Raven House gifted us with a £30 Asda voucher which has been really helpful to buy essentials for hampers and our store cupboard.
We have also received many other donations from people who wish not to be named but we wish to thank you all for your kindness and generosity.
