Personal, Social and Emotional Development Professional Development Programme

Strengthen practice supporting children’s wellbeing, relationships and emotional development

Our fully funded PSED Professional Development Programme helps practitioners deepen their understanding of children’s personal, social and emotional development and explore practical, evidence-informed approaches that can be embedded into everyday early years practice.

The programme focuses on supporting children’s emotional wellbeing, resilience, relationships and self-regulation.

Who is it for?

The programme is open to Level 3+ practitioners working in PVIs, childminding settings and schools with nursery classes within North Northamptonshire, West Northamptonshire, Rutland, North Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.

What will I learn?

The programme covers five areas:

  1. Understanding PSED of children aged 2–4
  2. Helping children manage emotions and relationships
  3. Helping children process trauma, loss and disruption
  4. Understanding good practice in engaging with parents
  5. Staff wellbeing

Approximately 17.5 hours of learning is completed through a blend of online self-study and facilitated seminars.
