The Pen Green Early Years Stronger Practice Hub is part of the national network of Early Years Stronger Practice Hubs established by the Department for Education (DfE) to support early years settings and childminders across England.
From September 2026, the Pen Green Early Years Stronger Practice Hub supports the early years sector across North Northamptonshire, West Northamptonshire, Rutland, Milton Keynes and North Buckinghamshire.
Led by Pen Green Research, Training and Development Base in Corby, we work in partnership with Acorn Early Years Foundation, Holbourn House Day Nursery & Pre-school and Katie Britton Childminder, bringing together expertise, experience and local knowledge from across our Hub area.
Our aim is to share effective, evidence-informed practice, provide high-quality professional development and create opportunities for early years practitioners and childminders to connect, learn from one another and strengthen practice.
Working collaboratively with the early years sector, we support practitioners to improve outcomes for young children, particularly those experiencing disadvantage, with a strong focus on inclusion, reflective practice and meaningful engagement with children and families.
