This module will offer you the opportunity to explore, critically analyse and reflect on your attitudes, beliefs and behaviours as a team member and leader. During the study block you will be asked to: consider the experiences and learning which have shaped your understanding of leadership; debate your vision, values and principles; discuss ethical and practical dilemmas of leadership; and critically reflect on the experience of change. You will apply theoretical concepts to support your analysis of your leadership. Experiential activities in small groups will be used throughout the module and you will be asked to critically analyse the behaviour and actions of yourself and your group to support reflection on team dynamics and your own role in the team.
In this module you will be able to explore the nature of leadership work within integrated early years teams and examine the nature of leadership roles and responsibilities. You will study and critically evaluate the intricacies of leadership strategy and a variety of approaches to implementing change. Students will be offered tutorial support while they work on the assignment.
This module is assessed through Coursework.
The expectation is that students attend all scheduled learning and teaching sessions.
If there are exceptional circumstances which result in a student being unable to fulfil this, the student should discuss these with the Course Lead.
Programme/module requirements, including those attendance, must be met and students are responsible for making good work missed through absence.
