DESCRIPTION:Early Writing: Building Strong Foundations for the GLD (Half-day training)\nThis half-day training supports practitioners to understand how early writing develops from birth and how secure physical\, sensory and emotional foundations underpin children’s ability to meet the Writing Early Learning Goal (GLD). Aligned with Best Start in Life principles\, the session focuses on developmentally appropriate practice\, highlighting the role of gross motor development\, fine motor control\, and sensory experiences in early mark-making and writing. Recent research suggests that by the age of four\, more than half of children have their own tablet\, and many spend significant time using digital devices each day. \nIn this webinar\, researchers from the iKids Study will share emerging evidence about how tablet and smartphone use may influence young children’s health\, development and family interactions. This session will explore both the potential benefits and risks of interactive electronic devices for children aged 0–5.
