IMPORTANT MEMO – RE: ADVERSE WEATHER AND POSSIBLE REDUCTION TO SERVICES AT PEN GREEN AND KINGSWOOD

Dear All,

We have just received an update from Northamptonshire County Council regarding the adverse weather conditions in our locality. The weather is set to continue to be snowy, extremely cold and windy.

To date we have managed to keep all of our services open for children and families.  However we have had an increasing number of staff who have been unable to get to work, due to the adverse weather conditions and their children’s schools being closed.  Whilst we have remained open, the majority of schools in the town have closed today.

Please be prepared for a reduced service at both Pen Green and Kingswood on Friday 2nd March as we are anticipating having a skeletal staff team who feel able to get into the centre, if the weather permits.  If you don’t have to make the journey out and can keep your child/ren at home this would help us with this current predicament.

If the weather conditions worsen over night or during the day tomorrow then we may need to close services earlier than usual.  Please look on our website/social media or call 01536 400068 for up to date advice.

If we close our services and you are a fee paying parent then we will adjust your fees accordingly.

Thank you in anticipation of your support with this matter.

Kind regards,

Tracy Gallagher and Angela Prodger

Joint Heads of Centre
