Parents Involved in their Children’s Learning - Supporting the Home learning Environment
Research shows that parents’ involvement in their children’s learning is the single most important factor in enabling children from disadvantaged backgrounds to do well. This 3 day programme enables you to work in an effective way with parents and show what a difference you are making. |

Growing Together Group'Growing Together' groups facilitate an approach to engage parents and children under three. One of the aims of the group is to encourage reflective parenting through reflecting on video material. During the reflection the parent is able to bring their specialist knowledge about their own child into the conversation, and the worker is able to offer their theoretical understanding. The programme involves 2 days training at Pen Green, an opportunity to work with one family on a child study back in your setting, and returning to Pen Green for a third day's training. |
